April 15, 2013 – EDA Meeting Minutes

The regular meeting of the Freeport EDA Board was called to order by President Matt Worms at 12:15 P.M. with members Matt Worms, Bud Heidgerken, Andy Welle, Carrie Goebel and Mason Schirmer present. Member Jim Hemker was absent. Ashley Feldewerd was also in attendance.

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Goebel moved and Heidgerken seconded a motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried 4-0.

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Heidgerken moved and Goebel seconded a motion to approve the February 19, 2013 minutes. Motion carried 4-0.

NEW BUSINESS
Joe & Julie Karsky Presentation
Joe and Julie Karsky presented information on their idea for a new Craft/Hobby Store. EDA discussed potential assistance options. Worms suggested contacting Joe and Julie Karsky to thank them for the presentation.

OLD BUSINESS
Redevelopment of the old creamery site
Feldewerd gave an update as to where we are at with the closing process. Worms mentioned members of the public had expressed concern over the potential purchase cost of the site.

Welle moved and Heidgerken seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting at 1:00 P.M. Motion carried 4-0.
